The Hampton Ballet Theatre School (HBTS) will present its spring production of the ballet “Coppelia” on Friday, May 2, at 7 p.m., Saturday, May 3, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 4, at noon and 5 p.m. at Guild Hall in East Hampton.

“Coppelia” is a comedic ballet with a score by 19th century French composer Léo Delibes. It tells of the courtship of Swanhilda and Franz, and the doll, Coppelia, who Franz mistakenly courts, along with Dr. Coppelius, whose bumbling antics will entertain all ages. HBTS professional level 9 student Avery McCleland will be dancing the lead role of Swanhilda. Additional guest artists include Nick Peregrino and Jacob Taylor.

Choreographed by the HBTS director, Sara Jo Strickland, the production features costumes designed and hand sewn by Yuka Silvera, Sara Jo Strickland and Kate McManus and lighting designed by Sebastian Paczynski.

Advance tickets are $35 to $50 and day of show ticket prices are $40 to $55. Premium and orchestra seating is available and group rates are available for groups of 10 or more. To reserve tickets, call 631-237-4810 or visit hamptonballettheatreschool.com. Guild Hall is at 158 Main Street in East Hampton.
