Springs Man Faces 15 Years on Gun Charge

A Springs man is facing up to 15 years in prison after being arrested early Friday morning on Main Street in East Hampton Village by Town Police on multiple charges, including criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. Kevin T. Weiss, 24, was a backseat passenger in a 2011 Cadillac CTS 4 that had been pulled over by the town officer for multiple traffic infractions at about 4 a.m. According to police, when they conducted a search, they found Weiss in possession of a Taurus PT 24/7 pro .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun.
